Named after General Weygnard, a colonial administrator, this bridge is located just above the Sassandra river. Its construction began in 1940 and was completed in 1947. It is the first reinforced concrete bridge in Côte d'Ivoire. Notably, it rests on solid rock. One of its special features is that it offers a privileged vantage point for a stunning view of the Gaoulou nature park and the hippos that can often be spotted in the river. Leave your car behind and cross it on foot — you'll enjoy the beauty of the landscape all the more.
