THE WALLS OF SORDI

0 Review
Description

Located in the north of Côte d'Ivoire, right along the Ouangolodougou – Pogo axis. The first time these walls were mentioned was at the end of the 19th century, when Governor Louis Gustave Binger described the area as impregnable. What is important to know, however, is that they were built in the 18th century to halt the advance of Samory Touré, by three warrior chiefs who came from Kong. Beyond the physical warriors stationed on these walls, there were also mystical warriors who reinforced the security of the area. What was never spoken of was that whenever a person with ill intentions passed through the village gates, they were automatically stripped of their mystical powers.
