Description

Today, when you arrive in Bingerville, you will no longer hear this name. People will tell you that this palace no longer exists.

In reality, it has been converted into an orphanage and is now known as the Bingerville Boys' Orphanage.

To tell you the full story, the building that houses the orphanage once belonged to the Governor of the Colony of Côte d'Ivoire. Construction began in 1905 and was completed between 1911 and 1912. It was built on the former cemetery of the village of Akwe-Djemin.

The first resident of this palace was Governor Gabriel Angoulvant.
